Aunt Kelly, Me & the Dallas Arboretum

So my FABULOUS Aunt Kelly came and visited me for a week. I seriously miss her SOOOOO much! But the time we did get to spend together was a blast. We decided on Saturday to go and see the Dallas Arboretum (gardens for those of you who have no idea what an Arboretum is). We were SO excited! LOL but then it turned out to be kind of a drag. These pics kind of make it look better than it really was, but oh well at least we can say that we have been there right? :) Sorry the pics are not all that great. I am not a very good photographer. But what we did capture sure looks really beautiful in these.

P.S. sorry about all the people in the pictures.... I have no idea who they are :)

The tree is totally SMOOTH! I thought is was very interesting :)

Ok so this is NOT a flattering picture of me.... but Kelly looks FABULOUS!

LOL Too bad we didn't have any kids to play in the pumpkin house.

He totally posed for me with the acorn in mouth and everything!

This guy was the ONLY flower on the whole tree..... so I thought he deserved to have his photo taken.

This is a view of some of the houses that sat across the lake from the gardens.

So I am a huge fan of black and white photos, so I took this one in both color and black and white

Such a cute little cottage! :) LOL she was going to tell everyone at work that this was my house!

I fell in love with the Coy pond are of the gardens..... so there are lots of pictures of that, sorry :)

Memories

So..... my fabulous friend Ash posted this on her blog and I thought it would be fun :)

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Some updates on life.....

All right so I decided that I would give y'all some updates on our life lately:

In June Casey's parents came and visited. Now I realize that June was quite a few months ago but I haven't quite gotten it together for a while so this is my update on all that. SO....while his parents were with us I had the fabulous opportunity to take his mom and go out to Mckinney, TX and walk around their down town square. I absolutely fell in love with it out there. There were so many cute shops and antique stores out there. We just did window shopping but I found some really cute things that I loved. Here are some pics. I plan to either make them or have Casey make them for me :) Sorry the pics are so little..... I took them with my phone.

Now this picture is of a REALLY old basketball that I found. I, of course, wanted it really bad but it was like $100. So I passed. But I still really loved it.

Then in July my fam came to visit me. It was lots of fun. Myself, my sisters, my mom and my grandma all made some super cute magnet boards........ and well I have kind of gotten obsessed with making them. I love doing it. I have kind of toyed with the idea of trying to sell them or something. But they are super fun. Here are some pics of one I made for a lady I work with. There are two sides to it

And then finally I found this picture at the store a couple of weeks ago that I loved and wanted to put in my bedroom. But Casey said that he wanted to just have his sister Tassia paint it for us. So he took a picture of the picture in the store and sent it to her and this is what she did for us :) Thanks Tassia!!!!

All About Me!!
So I got this off of my friend Taryn's Blog...... I thought that is looked like fun and I haven't posted anything in a while so I thought I would fill it out. :o) Here goes!
  • i am: A wife, a woman, a has been (hopefully someday again soon a 'still is') athlete, a once upon a time coach, and sometimes I still feel like a little girl
  • i think: that I am going to start school in the spring and finish my degree so that I can officially begin doing what I love.
  • i know: that life isn't always fair, but somehow it all seems to work out and you end up happier then you thought you would.
  • i want: to someday be able to have children, regardless of how I get them, and I want my wonderful, amazing husband to be able to follow his dreams.
  • i dislike: seafood and fish of any kind, and when my husband scratches me with his toenails (seriously it's like nails on a chalk board for me)
  • i miss: my bestest girl friends, and CEU and The Yellow House.
  • i fear: SPIDERS...... and not being able to have kids.
  • i feel: better than I did a couple of days ago (FYI I was in the ER for an infection..... but I am SOOOOO much better now)
  • i hear: absolutely nothing..... it's REALLY quiet around our house.
  • i smell: the air fresheners that I have in just about every room in my house, they are the really yummy one from bath and body works.
  • i crave: deep fried mushrooms.... I know that is random, but they sound really good right now.
  • i cry: not all too often, but usually it is because something really touches me, it gets me deep down, you know, where it feels like whatever it is that you just heard or saw is something that your soul understands.
  • i usually: keep my house pretty spotless, it's like this itch that I have. Whenever it get messy I have to clean it up or it bugs me until I think that I might go crazy ;o)
  • i search: the faces of people I see everyday, wondering what there life is like and what they believe in.
  • i wonder: where Casey and I will be a few years from now and what we will be doing.
  • i regret: not having finished my education earlier, not always being kind to everyone, and not always have a smile on my face to help make some one else's day a little better.
  • i love: My husband, my family, my friends, my Savior and my Father in Heaven
  • i care: about way too many people, according to Casey, and helping them in any way that I can.
  • i always: eat Ranch with my pizza (LOL you didn't see that one coming did ya?)
  • i worry: too much, about everything, all the time :o) just ask Casey.
  • i am not: perfect, but I try to do the right thing.
  • i remember: scents mostly, there are always certain things that I can smell and it brings back a rush of memories, not always good ones.
  • i believe: in myself and my husband.
  • i dance: not as much as I should.
  • i sing: not very well, but I usually enjoy myself as long as no one is around.
  • i don’t always: eat as healthy as I should.
  • i argue: with Casey sometimes, and it is usually over something stupid, and I usually end up apologizing.
  • i write: not very well, but I REALLY want to write a book. I keep hoping that maybe one day I will get the hang of this and be able to get my thoughts and ideas down.
  • i win: every time I look into my husbands eyes and see how much he loves me and know that it gets to be for forever.
  • i lose: my mind when I don't do anything but stay in the house ALL day!
  • i wish: that we were completely debt free and able to go anywhere we wanted and do anything we wanted to
  • i listen: to my friends and family, and I try to help when it is needed.
  • i don't understand: why I have been so blessed, but I am forever grateful that I am.
  • i can usually be found: at my house, or at work
  • i am scared: of heights, SPIDERS, and not experiencing enough of what this life has to offer.
  • i need: just my sweetness.
  • i forget: people who hurt me.
  • i am happy: when I know that Casey is happy

Everyone who reads this should do it too!!
